When Core Digital Expansion began assisting the storied and iconic Cheese Store of Beverly Hills, they had a desire to increase online sales. To achieve this, CDE brought the legendary institution into the future with a comprehensive overhaul of their website and paid ads digital marketing strategy.

The Strategy

A beloved staple of the Beverly Hills community, CSBH’s brick and mortar location had most of their sales needs met through in-store transactions, but CDE recognized the potential that a good website posed for establishing the foundation of their online commerce. A professional audit revealed their standing website as having many weaknesses pertaining to untidy aesthetics, broken functions, faulty code, and a lack of digital marketing capability all while being built on an outdated content management system inappropriate for the needs of their business.

 

CDE’s Website Building Team constructed a new website on a modern CMS and integrated data tracking infrastructure including Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel. Shoppers using the new website’s improved customer journey could now provide high quality insights to inform decisions in advertising, layout, copy, and overall funnel building. The new CMS also offered far superior SEO and keyword ranking features not previously available such as auto-generated sitemaps, customizable page titles, and meta descriptions. As an added bonus, the internal Cheese Store team now also enjoys a far more user-friendly backend control panel that allows them to process orders and manage inventory with ease. 

 

With a brand new website in play, CDE’s Paid Social Ads Team was tasked with driving traffic that would lead to brand awareness, customer engagement, and, most importantly, online sales. Over the course of a year they developed various campaigns on Google Search and Facebook/Instagram to acquire new customers, promote long-adored specialty niche products, and have synergetic marketing with major trends and seasonal events.
